The Company

Heron Resources Limited is a mineral development and exploration company, with interests in a range of commodities including base metals, gold, and nickel. The company is focused on becoming a mineral producing company, through the development of the Woodlawn Zinc-Copper Project. Heron is a public company listed on both the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX:HRR) and the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX:HER).

The Woodlawn Project offers a range of surface and underground roles in management, the mine and process plant. Roles will include Geologists, Geotechnical, Mining Engineers, Surveyors, Metallurgy, Laboratory, Plant and Trades roles, Finance, Health Safety and Environment and Administration/Support.

Our various offices and sites are made up of a variety of highly experienced team members who are focussed on our main aim – the delivery of an operating mine at Woodlawn.

Opportunities

Process Superintendent

Reporting to the Process Manager, the Process Superintendent will be responsible for leading the Process teams, process planning and organising of activities in the Process Plant. The Process teams consist of four shift panels of operating crews, day crew, laboratory and technical staff. The operation will be technically challenging, including crushing, ball milling, IsaMill, four vertical regrind mills, four stages of flotation, filtration, water treatment, tailings mining, paste plant, and concentrate handling. The incumbent will need prior experience in base metal flotation processing, metallurgy (or Chemical/process engineering) qualified, and preferred extensive experience in supervision of operation crews.

Exposure to similar operations will be highly regarded.

Maintenance Superintendent

Reporting to the Process Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent will be responsible for leading the Maintenance team, and planning proactively to maximise plant availability and performance. The incumbent will play a key role in establishing the systems required, as well as negotiating with suppliers, and establishing the on-site team during 2018. The operation includes many unit processes that will need specialised maintenance to achieve good on-going performance and availability. The incumbent will need prior experience in maintenance of mineral processing plants, be able to demonstrate a good technical understanding of maintenance systems and previous supervision and building of an effective team.

Exposure to similar operations will be highly regarded.
